Groundbreakings set for new schools in Georgetown ISD

Georgetown ISD has scheduled groundbreaking ceremonies for two new schools.
Both projects were approved through the district’s 2021 Bond Program and are projected to open in 2024.

The ceremony for the new Douglas Benold Middle School will be held at 9 a.m., April 19.

Donations help lower lunch debts of GISD students

Donations from Christ Lutheran Church and the Georgetown branch of A+ Federal Credit Union will go toward paying off lunch balances for a number of Georgetown ISD students, the district announced April 4.
Christ Lutheran raised $2,360 from parishioners’ donations. A+ FCU donated $1,000.
