Record turnout, no complaints

 About 69 percent of the 448,421 registered voters in Williamson County participated in the November 5 general election. Wilco set records for early voting, with an estimated 232,000 voters casting their ballots ahead of election day, according to Elections Administrator Bridgette Escobedo.

 About 59 percent of registered Williamson County residents had already cast their vote in this November election during the Early Voting period, according to the Williamson County Elections Department.  There are an estimated 447,711 total registered residents in the county.

Ballot talks continue as November election approaches

Williamson County will be moving to pre-numbered paper ballots this November election, but some county residents continue to advocate that a voting system involving hand-marked, hand-counted, paper-ballots at a precinct-level would be the safest option for a secure election.

Williamson County launches first Citizens’ Academy

The first-ever Williamson County Government Citizens’ Academy will be held in April.   The eight-week course is designed to provide insight into the inner workings of county government and showcase the opportunities county residents have to be involved in their community.
