Art scapes: Prose ladies deliver wildflower impressions to the art center

“Impressions of Wildflowers” celebrates a family connection through printmaking, fiber and word created by Catherine and Maryruth Prose and the late Vera Prose. This multigenerational collaboration uses their mutual love and relationships with nature.

Holocaust exhibit at the libraryThe library is partnering with Congregation Havurah Shalom for an exhibit titled “A Reason to Remember: Roth, Germany 1933-1942” from The University of Massachusetts Amherst. It will be available during regular library hours.

Texas Parks hosts birding art contestThe Great Texas Birding Classic is the biggest, longest, wildest birdwatching tournament in the United States. Created and organized by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, this friendly birding for conservation event is happening now and artwork is involved.

The following events are taking place in and around the Georgetown area through the end of April. Traveling Nanas share storiesLark & Owl in downtown Georgetown will host “Here We Go: Lessons for Living Fearlessly from Two Traveling Nanas” authors Eleanor Hamby and Dr. Sandra Hazelip.

Street closures set for Two Step Inn

The Two Step Inn country musical festival will return to San Gabriel Park April 18-19. To accommodate the event, roads and areas around the park and downtown Georgetown will close starting on April 7 through April 24. Closures and reopens will happen in different phases.
