July 4 festivals, activities abound across Wilco

This week, the United States of America celebrates 250 years of independence, and groups across Williamson County are hosting patriotic activities, fireworks and more.

Annual Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo this weekend

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse will celebrate its 82nd annual rodeo this weekend on June 26 and 27 in Jarrell. It takes place at the WCSP Arena, 1600 County Road 305.

Shotgun house tours, music and protest set for Juneteenth

The annual Juneteenth celebration at the Georgetown Community Center was held last Saturday, but the community will come together again Friday, June 19, to mark the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston to announce all enslaved people were freed.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre will host Western swing musician Georgia Parker for an unforgettable performance of jazzy, bluesy, honky tonk music June 6 at the Doug Smith Performance Center. Ms.

Art scapes: Prose ladies deliver wildflower impressions to the art center

“Impressions of Wildflowers” celebrates a family connection through printmaking, fiber and word created by Catherine and Maryruth Prose and the late Vera Prose. This multigenerational collaboration uses their mutual love and relationships with nature.
