East View stage performances December 1-3 East View High School’s The Character Company will present a back-to-back duo of shows December 1-3. Honey Girls, a Texas premiere, will have performances at 7 p.m. on December 1 and 3. 4,000 Miles performances will be December 2 at 7 p.m.

Georgetown's Community Thanksgiving returned on Thursday, November 24, at the Georgetown Community Center in San Gabriel Park. Free meals were offered on a first-come first-served basis. For homebound residents, volunteers fanned out throughout the city delivering meals.

Block party promotes community in North Old Town neighborhood

Dozens of neighbors gathered Sunday, November 13, for the second annual North Old Town Block Party. During Sunday’s event, North Old Town residents and neighbors enjoyed games, lunch and conversation.

Way Off Broadway Community Players opens circus melodrama this month

It’s almost lights up for the Way Off Broadway Community Players’ production of The Man in the Locket, a circus-themed melodrama by playwright Kris Thompson. Showings begin at 7 p.m. on October 14, 15, 21 and 22 at the Leander Activity Center, 11880 West Hero Way, Suite 600.
