Georgetown's Red Poppy Festival is April 28-30

Join in on the fun during Georgetown’s 24th annual Red Poppy Festival. The event, which features live entertainment, family activities and over 100 artisan vendors, takes place April 28-30 on the Square.

2023 Texas Bach Festival concert series announced

The Texas Bach Festival returns to Georgetown with a program titled “TBF 2023: Resound, You Songs!” A free opening concert is scheduled for 2 p.m., May 21, at the Georgetown Public Library. Gil Zilkha, bass-baritone, and Rick Rowley, piano, will perform Franz Schubert’s “Winterreise, D911.

The long-anticipated Two Step Inn country music festival is dancing its way to San Gabriel Park next weekend, April 15-16. The following are need-to-know details shared by the City of Georgetown for both residents and festival attendees.

Crosspoint Church, others invite community to Easter festivities

Bring out your baskets and get ready for an Easter Eggstravaganza. Hosted by Crosspoint Church the weekend before Easter Sunday, the annual rain or shine event begins at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at the church, 3800 Shell Road in Georgetown.

Memory Café hears how Dan Moody fought the Klan

GTX Film will be screening The Return of Tanya Tucker at 6 p.m., April 12, at the historic Palace Theatre. The film won the Audience Choice Award at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2022 and has received accolades around the country.

Remembrance event to feature Holocaust survivor’s son

Congregation Havurah Shalom and the Georgetown Public Library will host a Holocaust Remembrance Day event from 2-4 p.m. on April 23.  The library will welcome Arnold Fingerhut for a presentation titled “A Life in Hiding to Living the American Dream.”  When World War II broke out in 1939, Mr.

Sun City Garage Sale in April benefits students

The Kiwanis Club of Sun City Georgetown is hosting a garage sale to benefit their programs for high school students April 1.  The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon in the Sun City Social Center parking lot, 2 Texas Drive. Admission and parking are free.
