Georgetown weighs changes to rideGTX program

The City of Georgetown is considering changes to its rideGTX Uber voucher program after data showed most trips occur during daytime hours and the program’s costs continue to increase.

Georgetown City Council rejects proposal for city ownership of Heirloom ponds

Georgetown City Council had no interest in a proposal to own the water quality ponds within the future Heirloom Public Improvement District subdivision. The Heirloom development will be located at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and County Road 248.

Woodside MUD age-restricted housing earns more support

Georgetown City Council directed city staff to work with developers to move forward with an expansion proposal of the Woodside Municipal Utility District near Sun City, which would add about 496 age-restricted units to the area.

After four years of work from Georgetown city staff and volunteers, Georgetown City Council approved the city’s new Unified Development Code on its first reading during the July 28 city council meeting.

Georgetown updates electric strategy to meet demand
