Georgetown canvasses sales tax election

Georgetown’s street maintenance sales tax was approved by anoverwhelmingmajorityduring the city’s November 8 special election. Results of the vote were canvassed during a city council meeting November 22.

Georgetown finalizes Courthouse View Corridor waiver process

Georgetown will allow developers to apply for waivers to the city’s Courthouse View Corridor restrictions following a November 22 city council decision. The waiver process was approved with amendments upon second reading.

G’town talks short-term rentals

With more than 200 estimated short-term rentals operating within Georgetown’s city limits, city council is pursuing potential regulations which could allow the city to collect related hotel occupancy tax revenues more consistently.
