Georgetown ISD trustees recognized Jack Frost March Citizens of the Month on April 20. The monthly award is given to outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate service, leadership and scholarship.

GISD names new middle school to honor segregation-era African American educator

Georgetown ISD’s new middle school will be named S.C. Marshall Middle, after the founder and principal of the Georgetown Colored High School in 1913. GISD’s new Marshall Middle School, located on Patriot Way, is under construction and will open in 2027. Trustees approved the name April 20.

Students star in Georgetown ISD's State of District address

Students shared how their Georgetown ISD experiences have built inspiration and confidence during a panel at the State of the District event held at the Future Ready Center March 6.
