Carver Center room named in honor of Paulette Taylor

The Carver Center for Families honored longtime Georgetown educator and historian Paulette Taylor on Friday, February 27, by naming the campus’ former cafeteria the Paulette Taylor Legacy Room. Ms.
In this proposal, West Seventh and Eighth streets are converted into one-way roads between Rock and Church Streets. Traffic on Eighth would travel east, while Seventh would travel west. Additionally, parking on the Square is maintained on the courthouse side of the road, while the existing parking in front of businesses is replaced by a widened pedestrian area. Austin Avenue bridge rehab This is the rehabilitation of the Austin Avenue bridge that includes new safety rated rails, required maintenance and a new bridge deck. The original estimated completion date was April 15, 2026, but has been pushed back to August.

Dear Sun Staff: What’s the latest with the construction on the Austin Avenue vehicle bridge? I noticed the construction work has stopped. Answer: According to the city’s communication manager Keith Hutchinson, there was an overpour of concrete on the bridges.
