Medical building near Sun City to serve independent medical practitioners

A new medical park office, called Ascalon, aimed at independent medical professionals is coming right outside of Sun City at 4829 Williams Drive. The building will be 45,000 square feet and three stories tall.

Beautify Georgetown with a riverbank cleanup

A riverbank cleanup at Rivery Park will take place Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the event — which is organized by the City of Georgetown — trash bags, gloves, light snacks and drinks will be provided. Participants should wear long pants, hats, sunglasses and closed-toe shoes.

A night of memories: Sun City gala raises more than $20,000 for A Gift of Time

A Gift of Time’s “Night of Classic Memories” fundraising gala lived up to its name March 5. More than 320 people attended the event, raising more than $20,000 for the nonprofit.F7 Group Foundation sponsored and organized the gala on A Gift of Time’s behalf.

Georgetown, Williamson County finishes work on new Southwestern Boulevard section

A new half-mile segment of Southwestern Boulevard, from Raintree Drive to SE Inner Loop, was opened to traffic after a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 18. The project added two lanes with a center turn lane, right turn lanes at intersections and underground stormwater drainage pipes and curbs.

Georgetown invests in roads, water, public safety

Georgetown’s annual State of Our City event March 12 gave residents a glimpse into the city’s latest efforts through a talk about projects coming in 2026, water, public safety, transportation and more.

Students star in Georgetown ISD's State of District address

Students shared how their Georgetown ISD experiences have built inspiration and confidence during a panel at the State of the District event held at the Future Ready Center March 6.

The nonprofit gave out candy and had small activities for guests who stopped by to learn about their mission: serving those with mild to moderate dementia and their family members by providing respite opportunities, support and resources in Georgetown. Nonprofits hit Square for Amplify Wilco launch

Amplify Wilco — the annual day of giving organized by Central Texas nonprofit I Live Here I Give Here — launched Wednesday evening, with nonprofits lining up along the Square in downtown Georgetown. On March 4 at 6 p.m. until 6 p.m. on March 5, donors could contribute $5 or more at www.amplifyatx.
