Fall is here, and pumpkins are everywhere! I don’t know why most folks only cook with pumpkin in the fall and winter, but perhaps that makes it more special when we do! Today I have four new recipes using pumpkin or pumpkin seeds that I think you’ll have fun trying.

'Misery' is a deliciously dreadful experience at the Palace

Misery opened on the Playhouse stage October 11. It was promoted as part of the Palace Theatre’s spooky season of spine-tingling experiences. The horror themed play elicits a delicious dish of dire dread.

Cars lined each side of the narrow country lane. Parked along the wide-open spaces they stood out, serving as locating markers outside a sprawling Logan Ranch Road property. In the distance, buzzing sounds broke the Saturday morning silence.

Development with 1,300 homes, resort closer to reality

Lakeside Estates, a proposed Municipal Utility District located in the western cliffs of Lake Georgetown near Santa Rita Ranch, aims to bring 1,300 units and a private hotel and resort to the edge of the city’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.

GTX Film Festival reels in crowd

The September 28 GTX Film Festival was a robust collaboration showcasing quality productions and fostering interaction between film enthusiasts at all levels of interest. The event was the culmination of a longer process.

New fire dog book sparks conversation about following dreams

Georgetown Fire Department dog Koda is recognized around town for her happy demeanor, the way she helps teach kids about fire safety or for the red dress she wears during the Poppy Festival.
