Jarrell ISD celebrates rebirth of iconic 1916 Building

The Jarrell community turned out Wednesday, August 21, to cut the blue ribbon and officially open JISD’s new 1916 Building, a replica of the original.Two years ago, old bricks — rubble from the original 1916 Building deemed unsalvageable — were piled on the site.

Jarrell Community Library set for summer programming

The Jarrell Community Library will have its summer reading program from June 11 to July 26. This year’s theme is “Adventures of the Library” where participants will have adventures with reading challenges, crafts, STEM and group activities.

Jarrell ISD trustees name new middle school to open in 2025

Jarrell ISD’s new middle school has been named Jarrell Ranch Middle School. Trustees unanimously approved the name on March 27. Jarrell Ranch Middle School, a  2023 bond project, is under construction on the east side of Farm to Market Road 487. It is scheduled to open in August 2025.

Jarrell kicks off the holidays with its first jubilee

Joyous Jarrell

The City of Jarrell will host its first Christmas event, A Very Merry Jarrell Christmas Festival, from 3-8 p.m. Saturday, December 16 on Fifth Street.
