Update: With all of the precincts in Georgetown reporting, 82.66 percent of Georgetown's voters have approved the sale of Georgetown's water territory outside of the city limits and ETJ.

Update: Jake French wins third term as Georgetown District 6’s council representative

Update: With 100 percent of the precincts in District 6 reporting, Jake French has won a third term in Georgetown's City Council with 65.16 percent of the votes. His challenger Emily Kaye Kipp received 34.84 percent of the total votes.

Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder will serve a third term leading the city after Friday’s candidate filing deadline passed without drawing any interest from possible challengers. “My third term officially started at 5 p.m. today,” Mayor Schroeder said online Friday afternoon.

Three Georgetown City Council candidates running in contested District 3 and 4 races spoke to Sun City residents about their thoughts on current city issues during a candidate forum Wednesday, April 16. Early voting began Tuesday, April 22, and runs until April 29. Election day is May 3.
