Georgetown, Williamson County finishes work on new Southwestern Boulevard section

A new half-mile segment of Southwestern Boulevard, from Raintree Drive to SE Inner Loop, was opened to traffic after a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 18. The project added two lanes with a center turn lane, right turn lanes at intersections and underground stormwater drainage pipes and curbs.

Solar roof manufacturing plant opens in Georgetown

Georgetown is now home to a solar roof manufacturing facility from GAF Energy. The company had the ribbon cutting ceremony for their 450,000-square-foot solar roof manufacturing facility on Wednesday, May 1.

Round Rock roundabout restructures roads

“No more stoplights. No more bouncy railroad tracks,” said County Commissioner Terry Cook, who drives in the area of the new and improved Ranch To Market Road 620 and Deep Wood Drive intersection in Round Rock twice a week.
