With two Commissioners missing from the dias Tuesday, June 11, the Williamson County Commissioner’s court unanimously approved the 40-item consent agenda in an abridged, one-minute meeting. Terry Cook and Valerie Covey were both absent.

Republican and Democratic primary elections will take place March 5, with federal, state and county-level candidates and issues appearing on the ballot. Early voting begins Monday, February  20 and ends Friday, March 1.

The public is invited to learn more about the approaching Williamson County bond election and proposed projects at informational open houses in October. The Williamson County Commissioners Court on August 8 approved calling an election for two propositions on the November 7 General Election ballot.

County’s Wilco Way annex closed for one day

The Williamson County Georgetown Annex, located at 100 Wilco Way in Georgetown, will be closed to the public  Wednesday, September 27, for a county employee event. Offices will resume normal hours Thursday, Sept. 28.

Weir’s Fire Chief Charlie Frymire has stepped down from his post after 16 Weir Fire Department volunteer firefighters signed a letter of No Confidence last month, asking for his resignation.  The announcement came during an Emergency Services District No. 6 Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 3. Mr.
