Williamson County expands take-home vehicle policy for sheriff's deputies

Williamson County sheriff’s deputies can now take their vehicles home if they live up to 20 miles outside the county line.In a 3-2 vote, Williamson County Commissioners Court updated the county policy June 30 based on a request by Sheriff Matt Lindemann.

Williamson County Sheriff apprehends man for child exploitation

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office organized Crime Unit arrested Evan Jackson, 36, Austin, on May 22. Mr. Jackson is charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography Depicting a Child Engaging in Sexual Conduct.Investigators allege that Mr.

Domestic violence shooting leads to arrest

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting at the 5800 block of Parma Lane, located outside the city limits of Round Rock, around 9 a.m. October 12.

Sheriff’s K-9 unit earns multiple awards at educational seminar

The Williamson County Sheriff K-9 unit brought home three awards from the Lubbock Narcotic/Fugitive Apprehension K-9 Seminar that took place from June 24-27. The team took second and third place in narcotics detection and third place in patrol/apprehension.

Flood claims third Williamson County victim

At least three people are dead after the San Gabriel River severely flooded across Williamson County over the weekend. The first victim was Kaitlyn Swallow, age 22, from the Liberty Hill area, who was found dead late Saturday by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
