Nonprofit begins construction on new house for foster kids

 After two years of preparation, Isaiah 117 House is building a home in Georgetown for children transitioning into the foster care system. The Tennessee-based nonprofit broke ground on its Williamson County home on Sunday, November 10.

Williamson County Commissioners frustrated with water company

 The Williamson County commissioners shared their disappointment about tax filings by Canadian power company EPCOR, which will provide water service to the Samsung industrial site.

UPDATE: Williamson County selects Lindemann as Sheriff

With 99 percent of Williamson County precincts reporting election results as of 10:20  p.m. Tuesday, November 5, an estimated 52 percent of voters have selected Matt Lindemann as the new Williamson County Sheriff.  Mr.

Election Day is here!

 About 59 percent of registered Williamson County residents had already cast their vote in this November election during the Early Voting period, according to the Williamson County Elections Department.  There are an estimated 447,711 total registered residents in the county.

County Briefs: Williamson County operations pause for the holidays

 Williamson County Offices will be closed on several days in November to observe holidays: on Monday, November 11 for Veterans Day and for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Taylor man sentenced to 15 years for stalking

Harley William Hovey, 30, of Taylor, pled guilty to stalking with a previous stalking conviction and will serve 15 years. According to the Williamson County District Attorney’s office, Mr. Hovey was a member of a Round Rock gym owned by the victim.
