Old Jonah bridge comes down

A collection of Jonah residents expressed concern and frustration about the impending demolition of the Old Highway 29 vehicular bridge during the May 24 Commissioners Court meeting.

New county pickleball courts open to residents

Six new pickleball courts have opened at Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, located at 3005 County Road 175 in Leander.

The Brooklynn Miller Foundation gathers gifts for childhood cancer patients

Williamson County resident Erika Spies founded The Brooklynn Miller Foundation to honor her daughter, Brooklynn, who passed away last October after battling osteosarcoma, an aggressive type of bone cancer.

Construction projects set to finish in 2024 in new report

Williamson County Commissioners Court heard their monthly construction update April 16. All projects are part of the county’s road bond program.   Robert Daigh, senior director of infrastructure, presented the updates on the road construction projects throughout the county by precinct.

Williamson County real estate market report

In the latest report from the Austin Board of Realtors, new home listings across the Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown metropolitan area jumped to 4,714 new listings, 10.2 percent more than in March 2023.

Dan’s the man: Williamson County honors former judge Dan A. Gattis at pavilion naming ceremony

Williamson County has named its new pavilion at the Williamson County Expo Center after a former county judge.  The county gathered at the Expo Center in Taylor to celebrate the Judge Dan A. Gattis Pavilion Thursday afternoon, April 11.  “Thank y’all so much,” Judge Gattis said during a speech.
