Liberty Hill Bypass begins construction

Williamson County and the City of Liberty Hill gathered Friday, January 26, for the launch of the Liberty Hill Bypass project.

Sales tax increases overall in county in newest report

Kicking off the new year, most of the cities in the county have seen increased revenue when comparing sales tax from January 2023 to January 2024.    Most notably, Taylor’s sales tax grew over 100 percent, allowing the city to rank in over $3.3 million.

Williamson County provides update, sets plans for next 10 years

Williamson County Commissioners Court heard an update on the 2023 Strategic Plan during the January 23 meeting at the County Courthouse.  Developed over the course of nine months from 2022 to 2023, The Strategic Plan is a 10-year guide that aims to direct the county’s time and efforts.

Hutto  Tesla has expanded into Hutto. The automotive company is occupying an industrial building located on 200 County Road 199. According to the Texas Department of Licencing and Regulation, the company plans for the $1.5 million renovation to “accommodate new tenant's equipment.

League of Women Voters assists residents for spring election

The League of Women Voters of Williamson County is holding several voter registration events around Wilco before the Monday, February 5, cutoff date to participate in Texas’s March 5 primary election.

Williamson County opens Emergency Operations Center

Williamson County Office of Emergency Management has opened the county’s Emergency Operations Center in response to the Winter Weather Advisory and possible icy conditions in the county early this week.

County Road 258 extension near Liberty Hill now open
