No new trail for Berry Creek

A new trail that would have spanned from the future Westside Park south of Berry Creek Highlands to the county’s Berry Creek Park was nixed by Georgetown City Council during a November 12 workshop after council heard resident feedback against a trail running through their neighborhood.

VA to set up shop in Round Rock

The Department of Veterans Affairs is bringing a new, state-of-the-art medical clinic to Round Rock by winter 2027.   The new $44.

Congressional reshuffle: Williamson County passes new voting precinct lines for 2026 elections

Fifty-three congressional voting precincts will be changed ahead of elections in 2026.The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved the new precinct boundary changes on October 28. The boundaries were established as part of Texas’ second special legislative session this summer.

Taiwanese company expands tech jobs in Georgetown

Taiwanese electronic manufacturer, Pegatron, that specializes in making consumer electronics, computing and communications for major brands will bring hundreds of tech jobs to Georgetown, 100 of which must be filled within the first three years of operation.

County purchases, preps new software

Williamson County will switch its operating software over to Workday Inc. starting November 5. On Tuesday, commissioners court approved the $9 million Workday Inc. software subscription.
