Women Helping Others: Yesterday’s Gone offers women a new beginning

Yesterday's Gone believes that no woman should have to go back to an abusive situation. The nonprofit’s program assists women who have suffered abuse or trauma by offering housing, life coach services and access to resources.

Women Helping Others: Furbaby Food Pantry helps provide for pets

Furbaby Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families in need of assistance with their pet. It was established in 2021 by founder Kori Bindl, who shared information about the group’s mission with Women Helping Others this month.

The WHO ladies of Sun City were honored to have Eddie Franz, Executive Director of Jail to Jobs as the presenter of their monthly meeting in August.

What’s new with A Gift of Time in Georgetown? As members of Women Helping Others learned this month, plenty!The nonprofit — serving those with mild to moderate dementia and their families — moved to a new headquarters within the last year.

WHO: Women Helping Others recaps busy 2024

As we embark on a new year, the Women Helping Others ladies kicked off their first meeting in January 2025 by celebrating the club’s accomplishments for the previous year.

Williamson County celebrates, partners with orgs to better community

Williamson County Commissioners recognized several organizations for their positive impact on the community January 28.  Women Helping OthersCounty Commissioners proclaimed January 28 as WHO Ladies of Sun City Day.

WHO packs cookies for Holiday Meals Delivered

Since 2008, Women Helping Others volunteers in Sun City have baked, prepared and packed cookies ahead of Christmas to distribute as part of nonprofit Holiday Meals Delivered's meals to Georgetown families. This year, WHO volunteers met Monday, December 23, to pack 500 dozen home made cookies.

Nonprofits partner to help feed Georgetown community

The annual partnership fundraiser between Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties Meals on Wheels program and Sun City’s Women Helping Others is aiming to raise $100,000 this year to benefit the Madella Hilliard Senior Center on Eighth Street.
