After 9/11, Susan Hoppenworth flew to New York City to work as a volunteer mental health counselor with the American Red Cross.Her exhibit features nine quilts and excerpts from her journal about experiences assisting New Yorkers.

Strings & Things: K-pop powerhouse MAMAMOO brings U.S. tour to H-E-B Center

The 19-day MAMAMOO 2026 U.S. tour features members Solar (vocals), Moonbyul (rapper), Wheein (vocals) and Hwasa (rapper) on a reunion tour celebrating the group’s 12th anniversary. Local fans can catch the group at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday, August 21, at 7:30 p.m.

Hill Country Art Focus is accepting artwork entries for Art Hop 2026 until August 15. Art Hop is open to Texas artists age 16 and older in 2D representational and abstract, 3D representational and abstract, photography and digital art.

Annual Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo this weekend

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse will celebrate its 82nd annual rodeo this weekend on June 26 and 27 in Jarrell. It takes place at the WCSP Arena, 1600 County Road 305.

Shotgun house tours, music and protest set for Juneteenth

The annual Juneteenth celebration at the Georgetown Community Center was held last Saturday, but the community will come together again Friday, June 19, to mark the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston to announce all enslaved people were freed.
