A growing trend on social media is to replace the charcuterie board with a butter board. Restaurant developer Justine Doiron’s Tik Tok video sparked interest, but Ms. Doiron acknowledges butter boards were first created by chef and cookbook author Joshua McFadden.

Pansies are one of my mother’s favorite flowers to grow. Every year in the fall, we went on a search for the perfect tray of pansies. Some years she liked to plant a mix of colorful pansies, and other years she planted a solid color for a big impact statement.

Texas UIL championships held at Sun City

The final PGA Tour event of 2022 in Texas tees off Wednesday, November 10, at the Cadence Bank Houston Open. The Memorial Park Golf course, which only a couple years ago was renovated to PGA levels, hosts the tournament. Previously hosted in Humble, the event moved to this site several years ago.

Whatevers you might be craving

Ihave a few new recipes today, all great for fall gatherings, sports parties or just for good noshing. I had a few folks over on the patio last week and one of my guests brought these really delicious “whatevers”…sort of like a little dumpling filled with sausage and cheese. Just so tasty.
