Marine Birthday Ball celebrates branch’s long history

The Marine Corps Williamson County Detachment will host a Marine Corps Birthday Ball in celebration of the branch’s 249th birthday. The public is invited to join in the celebration of the heritage and traditions of the Marine Corps November 9 at the Georgetown Community Center.
Morgan and Stephen Coop and their son Spencer, who will be one-year-old on December 1st, enjoy a relaxing evening under American flags at the Georgetown Field of Honor on  Friday, November 8, 2024.  Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Georgetown, the Field of Honor includes 2,000 American flags covering ten acres in San Gabriel Park. The Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation will be hosting the eighth annual Field of Honor at San Gabriel Park from November 9-17 in honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11.

Celebrate veterans with Field of Honor, Sun City events

The Rotary Club of Georgetown Foundation will be hosting the eighth annual Field of Honor at San Gabriel Park from November 9-17 in honor of Veteran’s Day on November 11. There will be more than 2,000 flags set up across 10-acres at the park in honor of veterans.

Williamson County Fair and Rodeo begins

The 2024 Williamson County Fair and Rodeo is rounding up residents from Wednesday, October 23, to Saturday, October 26, at the Williamson County Expo Center located on 5350 Bill Pickett Trail in Taylor. This is the organization’s fourth fair and rodeo.

Assistance League welcomes Miss Oklahoma

The Assistance League of Georgetown Area will host an event open to the public on October 21 with former Miss Oklahoma Sunny Day. There is no need to RSVP. The event will take place at 10 a.m. in the gymnasium of First Baptist Church of Georgetown, 1333 West University Avenue. Ms.

Two Step Inn presale opens for Georgetown residents

Next year's Two Step Inn country music festival, which will be held April 5-6, is opening up presale tickets for Georgetown residents starting October 18. There is a limited quantity of Georgetown-resident pre-sale tickets.

'Misery' is a deliciously dreadful experience at the Palace

Misery opened on the Playhouse stage October 11. It was promoted as part of the Palace Theatre’s spooky season of spine-tingling experiences. The horror themed play elicits a delicious dish of dire dread.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre presents Sweeney Todd this month

Horror and humor came together for a night to remember at the Georgetown Palace Theatre. Excitement radiated through an enthusiastic, full house during the October 4 opening night of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
