Internet provider Optimum upgrades G’town network

Optimum, a provider of internet, phone and television services, announced on October 23 that it has upgraded its local network in Georgetown.
The company’s 100 percent fiber internet services will be made available to residents and businesses.

The Georgetown Eagle boys have started the fall golfing season with a victory in Victoria.
Under some exceptional play to start the new school year, the Eagle boys captured the Victoria East 2023 Fall Classic in Victoria.
“This was a course we have never been to,” explained coach Casey Leatherman.

Jude Marquez, 10, and his brother Micah, 6, helped send rubber ducks into the San Gabriel River during the annual Duck Race held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at San Gabriel Park. The annual event is a fundraiser for the American Association of University Women (A.A.U.W.). 50 rubber ducks were released into the water in five separate heats. The top winners in each heat were gathered together for a championship heat.
