Georgetown pursues sidewalk projects around city

The Georgetown transportation department highlighted 40 sidewalk projects that the city will prioritize to enhance walkability.
There are four different categories funds will be allocated toward: GISD quarter mile needs, downtown, small capital improvement projects and gaps.

As a part of Georgetown City Council’s approval of its consent agenda for the October 10 meeting, there have been further developments in the YMCA and City of Georgetown partnership, the relocation of a Round Rock water line was approved and more land has been added to the Georgetown ETJ.

Williamson County jury convicts man of money laundering

A Williamson County jury found Vicente Alonso-Carbajal guilty of money laundering after a three-day trial, on October 12.
Trial Division Chief Mike Waldman and Assistant District Attorney Edward Wilkinson prosecuted the case. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
