The Palace needs $500,000 for repairs to bring it back 'like you've never seen'

In what was supposed to be a year of celebrating 100 years of the Palace Theatre, mother nature had a different plan. The winter storm and low temperatures on January 24-26 damaged  The Palace Theatre on the Square, putting a damper on plans and closing the theatre for several months.

Two more subdivisions in the works for north Georgetown

Real estate development firm Freehold Capital Management is planning two Municipal Utility Developments north of Sun City, which could bring 4,000 homes to the area. The MUDs — named Yearwood and Rock Bluff Ranch — sit outside Georgetown’s city limits, but would be annexed into the city if approved.

Judge helps teen struggling to support family

Sixteen-year-old Kevin Rodriguez was riding down the sidewalk on his e-bike when a car came around the corner and hit him. He wasn’t hurt, however, his bike was broken — leaving him without transportation to get to his part-time job at McDonald’s.

Williamson County will return to county-wide polling for the May run-off election. Wilco officials on Tuesday, March 24, dove into details about the recent March primary election, which was coordinated by the county’s Republican and Democratic parties by state law.

Street closures set for Two Step Inn

The Two Step Inn country musical festival will return to San Gabriel Park April 18-19. To accommodate the event, roads and areas around the park and downtown Georgetown will close starting on April 7 through April 24. Closures and reopens will happen in different phases.
