Destination Hope gala marks fifth anniversary March 7

Destination Hope — a gala that benefits both the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Williamson County — is celebrating its fifth birthday. And organizers say this year’s gala will be one for the books.

East View High School advances to basketball playoffs after win vs. Georgetown

East View’s varsity basketball team closed out its 2026 regular season with a win over in-town rivals Georgetown High School 58-48 Tuesday night, bringing the team’s record to 24-9 on the year. Georgetown’s record fell to 11-23.The win sends East View to the playoffs this season.

Something new is coming to one of Georgetown’s historic downtown sites. The Williamson County commissioners on February 10 sold the Main Street property that houses the county’s 137-year old Historic Jail during the February 10 meeting.
