Help wanted at The Sun: Customer service position

The Sun has a part-time customer service position opening at our office on the Square. We’re looking for someone who will assist callers and visitors in a warm, cordial and efficient manner, and who will work with the rest of the Sun team in a helpful, contributing way.

Eric Hanke officially joined the campaign trail as the Democratic candidate for the Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector.He will face Republican opponent Catherine Totty in the November election.The afternoon began with a meet-and-greet at Lark and Owl Booksellers on September 12 from 2-4 p.m.

Roadwork on Williams Drive in Georgetown causes delays

Road work started earlier this week on Williams Drive from Serenada Drive to Lakeway Drive. The City of Georgetown project will create raised center medians and new landscaping features, while upgrading street lighting, traffic signals and intersections.

Georgetown turned homecoming night into a game of explosive offense and defensive playmaking, rolling past Pflugerville Connally 61-7. The Eagles achieved 465 total yards, averaged 12.9 yards per play, rushed for 308 yards and scored twice on defense.

Georgetown residents can get first dibs on Two Step Inn 2027 tickets, with a presale available only for those with Georgetown ZIP codes now open. Two Step Inn will return to San Gabriel Park on April 17 and 18.
