Jarrell residents had seen a bright future for JISD’s 1916 Building when voters approved a bond in May 2021.
The bond included $4.9 million to upgrade the original school building into district and community office space, giving new life to the much-loved old structure.

Jarrell ISD’s 1916 Building, which was slated for upcoming remodeling, has been disassembled after engineers said it was not structurally sound enough to renovate as previously planned.
The district will now build an identical building in its place, JISD Communications Director Nick Spinetto said.

Tree of Angels returns for 10th year in Wilco

Williamson County will hold their 10th Tree of Angels Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, at the historic courthouse, 710 South Main Street.
This ceremony is a special memorial to the victims of violent crime and their families.

Wilco Homeless Coalition to conduct point-in-time count
