Community dedicates park bench to ‘superhero’ DJ Pruitt

Four year-old was victim of childhood cancer

    Family and friends celebrated the short life of “DJ” Pruitt, a little boy who “brought out in us the strength of unconditional love,” as they dedicated a park bench in his honor on February 26.

    “He is my superhero, my angel,” his mother, Amanda Torres, said at the bench dedication in Fairhaven Park in southeast Georgetown.
