Pops Soda & Sweets brings sugary treats to Wolf Ranch

Satisfy your sweet tooth at Pops Soda & Sweets, a food-truck specializing in a variety of family- friendly soda concoctions. Owned and operated by Georgetown resident Cherie Hogan, the mobile drink bar opened to customers in the Wolf Ranch shopping center earlier this month.

Ms. Hogan got the idea for her new business after visiting soda bars with her family in Utah, where she could purchase a variety of “dirty sodas” — regular soda drinks with non-alcoholic mix-ins. With few options available to quench her cravings back in Texas, Ms. Hogan decided to open Pops Soda & Sweets, a food trailer parked in the Wolf Ranch shopping center near the Target.

“We take your favorite sodas, whether it’s Dr. Pepper, Coke or root beer and also sparkling water, and then we add flavors to it, like syrups, creams, fruit purees and fresh fruit, to make it 10 times better,” Ms. Hogan explained.

In addition to mixed sodas, the food trailer serves sweet treats such as cookies and macaroons. Decadent hot chocolates with ice cream sandwiches melted in are also available. The business does not sell alcoholic beverages or coffee.

Business hours vary and are posted daily on the company’s Instagram page, @pops.sodas. The food trailer will participate in Georgetown’s Christmas Stroll, which takes place December 2-3 on the Square.
