European immigrants Karen and Jack Soeffker are creating an authentic English pub on the Square called Grumpy George. The restaurant could open in early August at 114 East Seventh Street. Ms. Soeffker — the owner of All Things Kids on the Square — is originally from England.
Laura Morgan, with Georgetown PFLAG, was equipped with a hand fan and an electric fan as she stayed cool. The Georgetown PFLAG chapter, established in 2022, was here to answer questions and inform visitors during Pride Month.

The City of Georgetown is hosting an open house June 29 for the mobility bond projects that were approved by city voters in 2021.  The open house will include information about the Shell Road and D.B. Wood Road north section projects.

The shiny new H-E-B and its parking lot were filled Wednesday, June 7, when the company opened its long-awaited Georgetown store in Wolf Lakes Village. In a festive atmosphere with strolling mariachis, eager shoppers filled their baskets, snacked on samples and feasted on barbecue.
