The Worship Place gives back

Members of The Worship Place this year have collected and packed more than 1,300 shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child program. The program collects shoeboxes filled with gifts such as toys, school supplies and hygiene items for children in need across the world.

Georgetown offers free meal on Thanksgiving

The City of Georgetown will serve a free sit-down meal on a first-come, first-served basis Thursday, November 24. Georgetown’s Community Thanksgiving will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Georgetown Community Center, 445 East Morrow Street, in San Gabriel Park.

Lighting of the Square to bring holiday cheer November 25

Georgetown’s annual Lighting of the Square, a collaboration between the city and Williamson County, takes place the evening of Friday, November 25, the day after Thanksgiving. Holiday festivities include live entertainment from the Uptown Carolers from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the Square. At around 6 p.m.
