Georgetown welcomes 3D printed homes in Wolf Ranch

In an attempt to cut construction costs and timelines, homebuilder Lennar is partnering with ICON — an Austin based home manufacturing company — to bring 3D printed houses to Georgetown. Once built, the 100 units planned will be sold as a part of the Wolf Ranch master planned community.

Holiday food drive begins at The Caring Place

Because of a dip in food intake this year, The Caring Place is holding a fundraiser over the winter months to support families in need. “Last year we raised over $87,000 for the food pantry during the final three months of the year alone,” said David Earl, food programs and facilities director.

Breakfast with Santa set for December 17 in Georgetown

The 22nd annual Breakfast with Santa event, hosted by The Rotary Club of Sun City, will return to the Georgetown Community Center in San Gabriel Park on Saturday, December 17, from 7:30-11 a.m. Georgetown firefighters will make pancakes and sausage served with juice and coffee.

Sun City honors service and sacrifice

Sun City turned out on Veterans Day to honor the U.S. military personnel. Rain moved the annual program from Veteran’s Memorial Plaza to the Sun City ballroom, but weather couldn’t dampen the patriotic fervor and gratitude for the veterans’ decades of service and sacrifice.
