Georgetown eyes rec center upgrades

A second recreation center could be on its way to Georgetown depending on results of a feasibility study being conducted by the city. Preliminary details for the study, which is funded in the city’s 2023 budget, were discussed Tuesday during a city council workshop.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8587 in Georgetown acquired a new U.S. flag collection box to replace a badly weather- worn box that had served the Post for several years. Georgetown residents can drop off tattered or badly worn out U.S. flags at the VFW, located at 1000 North College Street.
