Pump failure causes low water pressure for some Jarrell residents

The Jarrell Schwertner Water Supply Corporation issued a “Leak notice” to its customers and service providers on Wednesday, December 10. The Corporation serves 4,550 people and is based in Jarrell. The general service area is 80,000 acres, located in both Bell and Williamson Counties.

Soaring price makes Georgetown change course on pedestrian bridge design

Approved designs for the Austin Avenue pedestrian bridges — which were okayed by Georgetown City Council in the spring of 2024 — will be changed, as the costs for the previously planned truss-inspired bridges have significantly increased due to an underestimation in steel quantities required.

The work of C.S. Belford, a man who shaped the neighborhoods — and look —  of early Georgetown, will be featured in this year’s Preservation Georgetown Home Tour, which runs December 13-14.Charles S. Belford was a builder, businessman and designer.
Singers from the Heritage Oaks Chorus, led by Kathleen Bohn, performed Christmas favorites on Wednesday, December 3, during A Gift of Time’s weekly respite at St. John’s Methodist Church. The choir consists of members who live in the Heritage Oaks neighborhood, near the intersection of Williams Drive and Shell Road. The chorus will host a spring concert in May, open to the public at the Heritage Oaks clubhouse.

Williamson County to debut suicide survivor support program
