Congressional reshuffle: Williamson County passes new voting precinct lines for 2026 elections

Fifty-three congressional voting precincts will be changed ahead of elections in 2026.The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved the new precinct boundary changes on October 28. The boundaries were established as part of Texas’ second special legislative session this summer.

Five homes will open their doors for fundraising campaign

As part of the 24th home holiday tours by the Sun City Kiwanis Club, five homes will be in the spotlight with Christmas decorations galore to raise funds for scholarships for Georgetown high school seniors and Key Clubs.

Latest plan shows $10 million in Blue Hole Park renovations

The final draft of the Blue Hole Master Plan shows updated emergency vehicle access, terraced lawns and more restroom facilities are on the way as part of the park’s redesign. The project’s estimated cost stands at $10.15 million.

Descendants honor Perry Cemetery with historic dedication

All Hallows’ Eve on October 31 precedes All Saints’ Day on November 1 and All Souls’ Day on November 2. The three consecutive Christian days, called Allhallowtide, traditionally include cemetery visits to honor the dead and to reflect on our own mortality.

Texas Golfer: East View boys compete in Leander

The East View High School boys team was among a field of 21 golf teams and 107 individuals competing over the Crystal Falls Golf Club in Leander on October 14.Touted as the Rouse Invitational, the format was a modified Stableford system where points were awarded for a more aggressive strategy.

East View High School Volleyball heads to the playoffs

East View Volleyball celebrated Senior Night on October 21 with the team’s last home district game against Elgin High School, winning in three sets. The team will be heading to the playoffs, with a first match Thursday, October 30, at 6 p.m. against Anderson High School.
