Jack Boyd Abraham, II

Jack Boyd Abraham, II, was born on December 12, 1930, to Jack Abraham Sr. and Ruth Harbord Abraham. Jack was the younger brother of Joe Lee Abraham. He is survived by his best friend, confidant and loving wife, Jittra, sons, Jack Abraham III and Robert Abraham, eight grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Jack thought of his life as having three trimesters. Before the army, during his time in the army and after the army years. He was educated in public schools in Oklahoma and then attended Western Military Academy- as his father had - graduating in 1949.

His time in the U.S. Army began in 1952 and concluded in 1981. He began his army career as a private, with a high school education and retired as a Colonel, with a master’s degree. He also picked up three languages along the way. His service took him to many parts of the world. He was an Infantry soldier with his most rewarding and treasured assignments being those while in the U.S. Army Special Forces, where, among other posting he served as the A Team commander at two Special Forces camps in Vietnam.

He began his post army years by settling in Austin, Texas where he owned and managed an advertising company. He continued with this until he moved to Georgetown, where he reduced his business activities to enjoy a more leisurely life style.

His pastimes, over the years, included, fishing, hunting, tennis, playing cards of various kinds, with a preference of having a little money wagered, Tae Kwon Do, working out to stay in shape, watching his beloved Sooners play football and traveling. And although he could never master the game, he liked to play golf. Jittra, his wife, constantly beat him in golf!
