General fund comes in with $5.8 million deficit
The 2023-24 school year budget — approved by Georgetown ISD trustees on June 19 — totals $264.4 million in expenditures.
The district also set a new tax rate of $1.1336 per $100 valuation, a decrease of eight cents compared to 2022-23. With that tax rate, the district estimates $169,580,340 in local revenues compared to the about $158,011,231 generated in 2022-23.
