Jane Bacon Arnold died on July 5, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas.  She was born and raised in Frankfort.  Jane is survived by her husband, Joel Arnold, her daughter, Sarah Arnold Jesser, her son, Samuel Arnold, her sister, Ann Judy of Frankfort (wife of Donald Judy), and her nieces, Lissa McCracken of Louisville, and Veronica Lynn Cecil and Susan Harrod of Frankfort.  She also had three grandchildren whom she adored, including her namesake, Audrey Jane Jesser, in addition to Claire Jesser and Henry Arnold.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Helen White Bacon, and her father, Howard Bacon.

Jane graduated from Good Shepherd High School.  She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Catherine Spalding College and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland.  She had a fulfilling career as a Professor of Nursing at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, MA.  She touched the lives of many nursing students and is remembered fondly by them.  Jane cherished her nursing and teaching career.

Jane married Joel Arnold in 1974.  They raised their two children in Chelmsford, MA.  She gave her all to being a good mother alongside working full-time and even overtime in order to pay for college tuition.  Many of Sarah and Sam's childhood friends remember how kind and sweet she was to them.  In retirement, Jane and Joel moved to a little log cabin on a river in Tamworth, NH.  They spent winters in Georgetown, TX, to be closer to their children and grandchildren, who have made Texas their home.  Jane enjoyed golf, bridge, Mahjong, travel, and spending time with her grandchildren and granddogs in her retirement years.  

Jane was charismatic, friendly, warm, talkative, intelligent, tall, and beautiful.  She had many friends, and will be missed by them.

A memorial service will be held in Tamworth, NH.
