Following her husband’s military retirement, they lived for 29 years in Schenectady, New York, where she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and served as a lay reader, greeter and prayer counselor. She was also a church and community volunteer. She especially looked forward to summers at the family cottage, “Sally’s Place,” on Skaneateles Lake, New York, where she was the hostess for many happy family gatherings. Moving to Georgetown in 2008, she was a member of Light of Christ Anglican Church and a faithful part of its prayer ministry.
