With deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra “Sandy” Dronet Johns on June 3, 2025, at the age of 78 at her home in Round Rock, Texas.

Born on October 30, 1946, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Harry and Jeannie DeVeny, Sandy lived a life full of passion and purpose devoted to her family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Richard Johns; her daughter, Shawn Trotter and her husband Wil; her son, Bryan LaBorde; her brother, Joe DeVeny and his wife Dianne. Two granddaughters: Anna Matteson Trotter and Lauren Sturdivant, grandson: Drake Trotter, his wife Macie Trotter, her adored great-granddaughter Decklyn Rinn Trotter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dan, her parents Harry and Jeannie DeVeny, her sisters Judy Stallings and Sheila DeVeny and her great-grandson Barrett Trotter.

Sandy was a trailblazer who broke barriers as one of the first women to succeed in sales in the oil industry. Her adventurous spirit led her to Egypt, where she made a lasting impact on the expat community by organizing legendary golf events. Her love for people and beauty inspired her to found She, Etc. International Day Spa in Georgetown. It was a sanctuary where women found comfort and community. It earned her the prestigious Georgetown Chamber of Commerce Small business of the year in 2010. She also played a pivotal role in energizing the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, to transform the city into a vibrant travel destination. Her greatest devotion was to her faith and through words and actions, she brought countless people closer to God.

A celebration of Sandy’s extraordinary life will be held on August 8 at 3:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Church in Round Rock. The family would like to express extreme gratitude to the Hospice Austin team, her friends who stayed with her: Diane Instone, Jill Norvell, Sheri Copeland, Tracy Scutari, and her loving aides, Chantal, Antoinette and Solange.
