Alice L. Day, 91, passed away on November 5, 2022 in Georgetown. Alice was born in Waukegan, Illinois. She was the daughter of Franklin and Iness Frey. She graduated from Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan. After high school, she attended Hiram College for two years.

Lendol Diehl, born March 8, 1937, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born a poor farm child in Elkland, Missouri, and quickly became known as the orneriest of the six Diehl children.

John Rush Pierce

John Rush Pierce Sr. of Georgetown, died on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Rush, affectionately known to friends and family as “Boss” was 93 and until, the last few weeks of his life, was independent, driving, living on his own, and making his own meals.

Judith Belle (“Judy Belle”) Clark Horick died on September 14, 2022. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 13 at 4 p.m. in the Lois Perkins Chapel at Southwestern University. Her obituary was published in the Sun on September 21.
