Patricia Ann Lackey Reavis

Patricia Reavis died suddenly on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in her home in Jarrell, Texas, which she shared with her son, Mike. Pat was born October 4, 1940, the oldest of three daughters to lifetime Georgetown residents Elmo and Edith Lackey.

Sharon Ann Johnson Liner was born to James Harold and Lella Johnson on April 28, 1945, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Shades Valley High School where she was Miss Shades Valley 1963.

Mary Louise Sims (Petrie)

On the morning of January 7, 2023, Mary Louise Sims (Petrie) of Georgetown, departed this earth after 82 years, to begin her next chapter alongside the Lord. Mary Lou, as she was affectionally know, was a devoted wife and mother of two children, Chad and Ryan Sims.

John Gavin Butler

John Gavin Butler, age 81, of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023. Gavin was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, on June 25, 1941, but grew up in Oklahoma City. He attended Bishop John Carroll School for first thru eighth grades and then attended Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School.

Sylvia W. Gregory

Sylvia W. Gregory, of Belton, took God’s hand and entered into rest January 5, 2023. The family will receive family and friends at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2023 ,at 1pm with the service following at 2 p.m.

Nancy Love Clowe Woolley

Nancy Love Clowe Woolley, age 93, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Allen. Nancy was born in Greensboro, North Carolina to John and Mildred Clowe on November 20, 1929. After graduating from Jordan Vocational High School in Columbus, Georgia, Nancy eventually made her way to Dallas.

Barbara Elder

Barbara Elder, 84 of Georgetown, passed away January 2, 2023. She was born on January 18, 1938, in San Antonio, to K.J. and Dovie Vick.  She had a career in Personnel Management and continued to boldly pursue roles in other areas of her field for many years. She was an amazing administrator.

Dr. Robert “Bob” Pinder

Dr. Robert “Bob” Pinder, 94, of Round Rock, passed away on December 19, 2022. Bob was born February 5, 1928, in Miami, Florida. His ministry began while at Stetson University and continued throughout his life.

Years ago, he should have chosen economics and political science as his major because as it turned out, Robert Melsha had an aptitude at these fields. Instead, he selected electrical engineering, a field he subsequently excelled in because of his intelligence and meticulous nature.
