Marilyn Mehaffey of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024.  She was born on March 28, 1940 to Reverend John and Margueritte (Nolan) Schlenker in Peoria, Illinois.

Betty Sue Barker

Betty Sue Barker, 92, died peacefully February 17, 2024, with her daughters at her side. She was born October 10, 1931, in Georgetown to Truman Curtis Green and Sophie Edna Singleton.  Except for a short time in Burnet County, Betty grew up and lived in the Georgetown area all of her life.

Tommy Sawyer Walker

Tommy Sawyer Walker was born in Taylor, Texas, to Thomas and Della Thornton on February 24, 1935. She went to elementary school in Jonah and attended high school in Georgetown, Texas. Tommy was an exceptional student and was awarded the American Legend Award for her outstanding academics.

William “Bill” I. Bayer

William I. Bayer “Bill” went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024, at the age of 87 shortly after being diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was a trooper until the end. Bill was born in Loysburg, Pennsylvania on October 29, 1936, to George W. and Dora F. (Kagarise) Bayer.

Mary Katherine “Kay” Stapp

Mary Katherine “Kay” Stapp, 91 of Rogers, passed away February 5, 2024. Visitation is Thursday February 15 from 5-7 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Belton. The funeral is Friday, February 16, at 10 a.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Florence Cemetery.

Russell Don Parker

Russell Don Parker, 86, of Round Rock, died Thursday, February 1, 2024. Don was born December 8, 1937, to Russell and Irene Parker in Georgetown, Texas.  After Don graduated from Georgetown High School in 1956, he went on to Study at Texas A&M.

Robert “Bob” Phillip White

Robert “Bob” Phillip White, born August 28, 1925, in Danville, Illinois, died December 30, 2023, in Georgetown, Texas. He volunteered and served as an officer and pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Following marriage to Mary C.

Laura Helen Wolf (Noack)

1953-2024: Laura Helen Wolf, 70, of the Georgetown/Walburg community died peacefully in her Harlingen residence on February 12, 2024. Laura was born in Georgetown, Texas, on July 14, 1953, to August and Rubina Noack, the youngest of nine children in a devoted Lutheran household.

Bert Gregg Love

Bert Gregg Love, born on August 14, 1936, died on February 8, 2024.  Bert Gregg Love of Georgetown, Texas, has gone to be with his Savior and begin his eternal life. He passed away peacefully in his home the morning of February 8, 2024. He was 87 years old.

William Burwell “Bill” Sample

William Burwell “Bill” Sample, Jr.  passed away Wednesday January 31, 2024, in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 93.  Born on November 5, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bill became part of the sixth generation of the Sample family to be born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania.
