Jimmie Garner was born May 18, 1936, to James & Gladys (Smith) Garner at his Grandparents’ house in Bertram, Texas. He grew up on the family farm in Bertram alongside his younger brother, Johnny Garner. It was here he developed a strong work ethic and a love for his family’s farm.
