Warren Hayes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 12, 2023, at Hospice Austin’s Christopher House. Warren was born on February 23, 1967, in Synder, Texas, to parents Larry and Susan Hayes.

Dorothy Vivian Tipton, age 93, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Austin, Texas. She was born August 7, 1930, to parents, Robert J. Ryan and Bettie Stanfield Ryan in Crockett.

Bill Kettenacker was born May 6, 1952.  He died suddenly at home November 9, 2023. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, November 18 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 410 East University Blvd, Georgetown, Texas.

Francis V. Navarrette

Francis V. Navarrette passed away peacefully in her sleep November 10, 2023, in Weir, Texas.  She was born June 4, 1928 to Floyd and Clemencia Valdez in Florence, Texas. Francis married Dario L. Navarrette September 30, 1949. She lived and worked on the farm for many years.

Maurice Wayne Marr

Maurice Wayne Marr Jr., 67, of Georgetown, died Friday, November 10, 2023, at Rocky Hollow Lake House. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Chapel Georgetown followed by a private burial in Rosebud, Texas. Reverend Bob Lane will officiate.

Godefridus “Frits” Dekort

Godefridus “Frits” Dekort, 87, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023, with his family by his side. Frits was born in the Netherlands on June 18, 1936, and was the only child born to Karl Dekort and Anne Van Den Eertwegh Dekort.

Ruth Roberts

1938 — 2023 Ruth Roberts, of Baltimore, Houston and Georgetown, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on Sunday, October 29. Her children, Shane and David O’Leary, will be celebrating her life in Georgetown in the coming weeks.

James Henry “Buck” Jones

James Henry “Buck” Jones, age 95, of Jarrell, Texas, peacefully passed away on October 30, 2023.  Buck was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on September 11, 1928, to Henry Lee and Ethel Jewell Jones. Buck’s family moved to Jarrell, Texas, when he was 11 years old.
