Roadwork on Williams Drive in Georgetown causes delays

Road work started earlier this week on Williams Drive from Serenada Drive to Lakeway Drive. The City of Georgetown project will create raised center medians and new landscaping features, while upgrading street lighting, traffic signals and intersections.

Several Georgetown streets are undergoing pavement repairs and sealant applications this summer and fall as the city works to improve road conditions and extend pavement life. During road work, drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to seek other routes, according to the city.

Georgetown amends engineering contract for Austin Avenue, bridge work
