Georgetown discusses tax exemption program for historic homes

Georgetown residents who live in historic homes in Old Town and the city’s downtown area will soon be eligible for funding to aid in rehabilitating their properties.

Georgetown begins contract negotiations with TxDOT for Highway 29 construction

Expenditures down 11 percent in proposed Georgetown FY 2024 budget

The plans for Georgetown’s Fiscal Year 2024 general fund as well as other funds for city departments were presented to city council members during a budget workshop Tuesday, July 11.
The general fund is the primary source of money for Georgetown.

City Council awards contracts for street construction, maintenance

City Council on June 27 awarded two construction contracts and three street maintenance contracts as part of its statutory consent agenda.
Awarded to five separate companies, the contracts for the construction and street maintenance totals to $33.97 million.
