East View grads get diplomas

Four hundred eighty-nine East View High school seniors received their diplomas at the Georgetown ISD Athletic Complex on Friday, May 23.

GISD breaks ground on new East Georgetown schools

 Two new Georgetown ISD schools— an elementary and a middle school — will open on Patriot Way in East Georgetown ahead of the 2026-27 school year.GISD trustees and Superintendent Devin Padavil officially broke ground on the 2024 bond projects Friday, May 9.
New schools under construction Construction on GISD’s new middle and elementary schools has begun. Scheduled to both open in Fall 2026, the schools share a 65-acre tract at Patriot Way and State Highway 130 Toll Road.
